Where were you born? Where do you live now?
Born in Keene, NH. Now live in Eliot, Maine
Tell us a little about yourself, your hobbies, things you love.
I am a lifestyle and wedding photographer, currently residing in Eliot Maine. I am always destination ready for those couples or businesses who are looking for a traveling photographer. I went to school for Nutrition and Food Sustainability and after graduation I spent three years living in Colorado and traveling constantly. My love for health and wellness as well as my passion for travel make me and Gutsey a great pair! My photography style is for the "Creative, Nostalgic and in Love" which I think also resonates with the Gutsey lifestyle!
Tell us about any accomplishments you have received over the years and/or goals you are trying to achieve.
Currently, my most prideful and greatest accomplishment is listening to my gut and ditching a lifestyle of spontaneous travel which was lacking any real direction for creating a career/ sustainable lifestyle, and creating my photography business. As for 2018 my goals are to be open to as many possibilities, collaborations and opportunities that come my way. And I am currently rebranding my business which I am thrilled about!
Why do you think you live a GutseyLife?
I have never really lacked the courage to step outside of my comfort zone, be free-spirited and follow my passions, which is why I think I have been living a Gutsey life, but more recently I think my determination to crush goals and grow my business while staying active, positive, grateful, determined and wanting to inspire others make me a true Gutsey life-er.
How do you want to help/inspire others?
I think it is so easy to get caught up in our own minds and think a certain way about ourselves. Whether we feel fat one day, or like we are having a bad hair day, or maybe we said something we regret saying because now we think somebody might be judging us.....these are all stories we make up in our heads and we truly believe them.
One of my favorite mottos for my business is "if you saw yourself the way the rest of the world saw you, you would be astounded by your own beauty". The world sees us in a totally different light than we see ourselves, and typically it is more positive, so I try to use my photography skills to allow people to truly SEE for real how beautiful they are. When we look in the mirror we pinpoint our flaws. When we allow somebody else (myself) to capture us we somehow are given an opportunity to see how beautiful we actually are.
