Gutsey Ambassador: Jenn Bakos, photographer, adventurer, story teller

Carrie Forbes Ambassador photographer

Where were you born? Where do you live now?

Born in Bow, NH and now live in Newmarket, NH.

Tell us a little about yourself, your hobbies, things you love.

I'm a full time freelance photographer with a focus on food photography, lifestyle, and weddings. I am always outside, hiking, kayaking, running, camping, and finding the best parks and trails to take walks when I can. I love cooking, gardening, and connecting with other creatives.

Tell us about any accomplishments you have received over the years and/or goals you are trying to achieve.

Running a small business and becoming a full time freelancer is a huge accomplishment to me. It's a constant hustle but the fun balances out the stress :) Some goals I am working on this year are: collaborating more with other creatives, starting a podcast for my online magazine (TELL New England), doing more to give back to the community through my business, and making more time for my own adventures (hiking, small trips, more camping, trying new things).

Why do you think you live a GutseyLife?

I'm a go-getter, I live a positive lifestyle and I'm always trying to better myself and learn from the past.

How do you want to help/inspire others?

I would love to inspire more women and people to get outside and be in nature. You don't have to climb the tallest mountain or do a 7-day backpacking trip to be "outdoorsy". You can simply find a short walk through a park, or go swimming at a lake, but getting out there has been proven to show such a positive psychological impact and I want more people to know that the outdoors are for everyone!
